This qualification course will allow students to
demonstrate the 'key' skills learned during the Tactical Handgun training
course. It has been designed to simulate an advanced tactical situation in
which the student needs to advance on a hostile target in a complicated
situational environment.
The targets used for this course of fire will
include the full size versions of:
F.B.I Q;
NRA TQ-15,
NRA TQ-19, or
Police B-27 Target.

Course Configuration
The course configuration will include
the following objects and configuration:
Range 25 yards in
depth and a minimum of 10 yards (30 ft) wide
A single,
free-standing target (of types listed above) centered down-range
A 1ft diameter
DISK marker centered 5 yards from the target
Three single height
drums -
One at 7 yards
from the target, and 6 yards to the right of the target
One at 10 yards
from the target, and 3 yards to the left of the target
One centered at
20 yards from the target
Two double height
drums -
One at 10 yards
from, and 3 yards to the right of the target
One at 15 yards
from, and 6 yards to the left of the target
One low-barricade,
such as a BOX or LOG

Shooters will be starting from the Standing position
in center of range at 25 yard line.
An instructor will stand behind each shooter 100% of
the time, and move with the students.
At the first whistle, shooter will draw and go into
safety circle.
The start of each stage will be signaled with a whistle blow
– NO MOVEMENT is allowed until the instructor blows whistle.
Instructor will make the decision as to whether
sufficient hits have been achieved before movement is signaled.

A maximum of 20 hits will be counted in the grey or colored area, from which
the number of misses visible outside the grey area (on white or cardboard) will be
subtracted. As a result, care should be take to only take additional
shots when complete misses are assumed.
Designations of 'Marksman' or higher will be indicated on each student
course completion certificate (if desired).
