NRA Reloading Instructor Training

This section will describes both the Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor and the Shotgun Shell Reloading Instructor training courses.  In general, DR Security & Training will conduct the training for both of these courses during the same sequence of classes, therefore they are covered here simultaneously.

NRA Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor Training

Lesson Details 

PRE-COURSE ASSESSMENT  - Classroom

• Pass the Student Examination for the NRA Metallic Cartridge Reloading by achieving a score of 80%

• Complete the following exercises:

• Setup a sizing die

• Setup and zero a powder scale

• Setup a powder measure

• Given a cartridge, bullet and powder charge, find the approximate velocity and ballistic characteristics from a reloading manual

• Teaching Metallic Cartridge Reloading Lesson V: Making the First Metallic Cartridges

LESSON TWELVE (90 min) - Classroom

• Teaching Metallic Cartridge Reloading Lesson VI: Course Review and Examination: Score of 90% required for full certification

• Applying to the NRA for certification

NRA Shotgun Shell Reloading Instructor Training

Lesson Details 

PRE-COURSE ASSESSMENT - Classroom

• Pass the Student Examination for the NRA Shotgun Shell Reloading by achieving a score of 80%

• Complete the following exercises:

• Setup a shotgun shell reloader in accordance with manufacturers instructions

• Setup and zero a powder scale

• Given a specific hull, wad, and weight of a shot charge, find the approximate velocity and ballistic characteristics from a reloading manual
