Civilian Marksmanship Program

DR Security & Training is a Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) affiliated shooting club.  As an affiliated organization, DR Security obtains assistance and support from CMP in conducting nationally recognized shooting sports, such as Bullseye pistol and High-Power rifle competitions.  In addition, all CMP members are entitles to purchase competition rifles and accessories at discounted prices, including the purchase of surplus M1 Garand and other surplus service riles at significantly reduced cost (required to sign an agreement not to re-sell the riles for a minimum of 12 months).

Paid Club Memberships

All shooters in the New York metropolitan area and states adjacent to New York State are welcome as club members.  Membership fees vary based on an individuals level of participation with programs offered by the National Rifle Association, the Civilian Marksmanship Program, and DR Security & Training.  An application can be completed online with any fee payments made via check or money order and mailed to  DR Security & Training.

Free Membership for Advanced Students

All DR Security & Training students completing a course of study, are entitled to discounted membership fees as CMP club members.  Those students completing courses of study as an instructor, armed security guard, or one of the law-enforcement or tactical programs, are automatically enrolled as a members free of charge for three years.  Those completing any two Basic DR Security & Training courses are given membership upon request.

All DR Security & Training memberships are for the minimum term of three years (expiring on 12/31 of the year membership is granted).  All members receive laminated membership cards shortly after full membership is granted.
