Our Mission & Goals
The DR Security & Training school has been operating since January
2001, providing firearms training and services throughout the New York Tri-State
area. All instructors are certified by the National Rifle Association,
along with
numerous State agencies, to conduct training according to their prescribed
requirements. Courses of instruction include:
In addition to certifications by the National
Rifle Association, the DR Security & Training school is certified by the States
of New
York and Connecticut to perform Armed Security Guard training,
as required for licensing of armed
guards in those States.
The school is also a Civilian Marksmanship Program
(CMP) affiliated club. The CMP is a U.S. government sponsored organization
that conducts the National Shooting Matches each summer in Camp Perry, Ohio.
All students of the school completing a course of study are welcomed to join the
schools CMP club
for a nominal fee. Those students completing an NRA instructor training or
training counselor program leading those certifications, will automatically be provided membership and issued a CMP
membership card.
